We are a charitable organisation which aims to encourage and support study, research, publication and interest in History, particularly in Canterbury, and to promote awareness of the social value of History in our community.

Your interest is appreciated, and new members are always welcome to join the CHF. For information on how to join please see our membership page.

We are an incorporated society and a Registered Charity (CC45220). Donations may be made at any time to help support the promotion of History in Canterbury. All donations are tax-deductible.

The Canterbury History Foundation is pleased to announce the following event:

History in Our Countryside: full day history bus tour

This history bus tour will include visits to Terrace Station Homestead gardens and a talk by Kate Foster, followed by lunch at Gunyah Country Estate (included in ticket price).
